Que getting back to town, and finding it under attack by monsters:
The player then is forced to help the Militia Men/their companions hold the town, and stop the siege. The siege is lifted by fighting to the gates, and barricading both sets of doors at both entrances to town. By each of the 2 gates is of course some sort of purple elite monster. Once the gates are closed the player eliminates whatever monsters remain in town to finish the quest. Note these mobs will mostly be undead.
At this point the ferryman arrives in town asking for help getting the wounded off the boat. He tells you that WT is under attack, and offers to take you there to help,aion gold. Maghda stays behind to help the wounded with her magic.
Once you arrive you find that the village (lacking a militia and of course you!) is being burned to the ground by scores of Khazra/the undead. Fighting to the center of town, and dispatching the goatmen there you go into the cellar to find the same scene as last time. Leah gets worried, and skips out to go back to NT. The player follows.
Arriving in NT finds it strangely devoid of life, although the gates are still closed. Around the town a few scattered corpses are all that can be seen. Some are militia men, and others are cultist. Even CS, and HE are missing! The inn door is closed, and outside of DC's house is the corpse of Captain Rumford, and several militiamen.
Inside the house we find a wounded Maghda, with D.Cain,diablo 3 gold, Leah,d3 gold, and token black guy missing with several cultist corpses. Upon awakening Maghda tells you that she was attacked by her own people. She tells you she's not sure why, but assumes it was the fault of The Grand Inquisitor (I can't recall his name he has several lore books, Urik maybe?). She claims to have no idea what happened to Leah, DC and TBG. She does however tell you where you can find the Grand Cultist, and suggest he probably took the other 3 as captives although she's not sure why.
It's also revealed that the towns survivors had barricaded themselves into the SCI. From here on that's where you'll find everyone.

From here it plays out the same except The GI replaces Maghda as the big bad. A letter found in the HOA level 3 says that although they do have TBG, and DC still, that Leah has managed to escape.
In the letter he suggest "Search for her mother, and you'll find the whelp there too".
After Killing the Butcher/GI. You get back to NT, and armed with the lead on the whereabouts of Leah's mothers you set off to the jewel of the east for Act 2.
-Side conversation with Magdha about the coven-
PC: Do you have any idea why the coven attacked you? Aren't you working for the same leader?
Magdha: Ah,<a href="http://www.goldwto.com/blade_and_soul_gold.html">blade and soul gold</a>, well I was approached by them to work on locating the sword pieces. I'd only joined recently.
PC: What did they tell you you were doing for them?
Magdha: Much of what I told you. That the pieces were causing unrest in the local wildlife, and were a danger to the local townsfolk. They offered me coin for what I would have done anyway.
PC: And you just took their word for it,tibia gold?
Magdha: Of course not, but it's not as though I could comb the entirety of Sanctuary finding the 3 pieces of the sword by myself. They had resources, and more importantly numbers that could be used to aid me in finding the pieces.
PC: What do you suppose they wanted with the sword?
Magdha: That I could not tell you although I doubt it's anything good.
